Abstract EN

This study aims to shed light on the workings of the constitutional court in Algeria by analyzing its decisions in the areas of conformity control and constitutional review.

it examines in detail the procedures and controls governing the operations of the constitutional court, by studying the legal texts issued in this regard after the constitutional amendment of 2020, which govern the process of reviewing the constitutionality of laws.

the study covers all stages, starting from the initiation of the review through notification, through the various procedures undertaken by the constitutional court, to its final decisions in the areas of conformity control and constitutional review.

the study also reviews the practical decisions reached by the constitutional court during the years 2022 and 2023.
