considering that the novel is one of the most accommodating and appealing literary genres for this study, given its structure that aligns with these textual thresholds.

these studies have previously emerged in France by the French critic Gérard Genette, who added a critical and extensive dimension to semiotic studies by tracing the thresholds and titles of texts.

"the embrace of snakes" is among the novels characterized by this feature, which has led the recipient to search for the meaning of the text through these thresholds.
