Abstract EN

This study aims to reveal the image of Algerian society that was presented in the Algerian TV drama, After the media production of TV series tended to the style of modern drama, which is considered one of the most important tools that simulate reality, depict its values, and perpetuate behaviors that work to reform and upgrade society by presenting and addressing its problems in an artistic manner.

the study relied on a theoretical aspect in which we touched on realism of modern dramatic visualization and its relationship to the manifestations of social life in Algeria and its various problems, and it ended with the application through a semiological analysis of an intentional sample of scenes from the episodes of the Algerian drama series al-Dama, where the results concluded that the series was keen to present a negative image of Algerian society with immoral values that are dominated by exaggeration, using representative models.
