This study aims to reveal the most important political issues that have dominated the contemporary Algerian novel, which reflected reality with its various attractions and changes, and it also sought to treat various events in society according to a creative and forward looking view, and we chose the model of Ana Wa Hayim by al-Habib al-Sa'ih, who was familiar with the issues of his society in all his novels, especially this novel in our hands, as it carried several political issues related to Algerian society during colonization and after independence, so we tried to reveal these issues and the extent that al-Habib al-Sa'ih was able to treat them, and the presentation of the components of the Algerian identity, which faced all the miserable attacks of colonialism, to show the extent of its stability and openness to the other, and the aim of this study is to answer the problematic question: what are the most important political issues addressed by the contemporary Algerian novel.
