Abstract EN

Through this article, we aim to address the subject of the demographic transition and the evolution of the family in Algeria from independence to the present day, by reviewing the most important changes in population growth in Algeria, in addition to the evolution of the size and structure of the family in Algeria and the most important demographic and socio-economic factors leading to this change, relying on the descriptive and analytical approach of various statistical data related to this.

we have concluded that in addition to the demographic transition that Algeria is witnessing, like the rest of the world, the Algerian family is witnessing a change in its size and structure due to the intersection of various demographic, social and cultural factors.
