Abstract EN

The research aims to know: (The extent to which the content of the biology book for the fifth grade of biology to include the skills of the twenty-first century)and the research problem was determined in achieving the main objective: (the extent to which the skills of the twenty-first century are included in the content of the biology book for the fifth grade scientific/biology).

The researcher adopted the descriptivesurvey approach, in an analytical method, for its match the research objective.

The research community (and the research sample) consists of a biology book for the fifth scientific grade/biology, approved by the Ministry of Education in Iraq in the academic year (2020-2021) To verify the possibility of achieving this goal, the researcher built a list of 21st century skills fields based in his analysis on the explicit and implicit idea as a unit of registration, and repetition as a unit of enumeration.

The analysis showed that the skills of the twenty-first century are included in varying proportions in the biology book for the fifth scientific grade/biology.

According to the results of the research, the researcher presented a set of recommendations and suggestions; Recommendations: In light of the results and conclusions of the research, the researcher recommends the following: Inclusion of sub-skills (indicators) that are not included in the biology textbook for the fifth grade scientific/biology.

2- Increasing the percentages of including main and sub-skills with few percentages due to its importance Suggestions: In light of the results and conclusions of the current research, the researcher suggested: conducting a study to find out the extent to which biology books for other study stages to include the skills of the twenty-first century.
