Abstract EN

The current study aims to identify the understanding of gratitude of children at ages (3, 4, 5, and 6) years old, and the researcher sought to find out the significance of the differences in each of these variables according to the variables of age and gender of the members of the research sample, which amounted to (160) children by (40) children at each age equally between the gender .the understanding of gratitude in children, and the validity of the translation of the tool was verified, as well as the verification of the standard characteristics of the tool represented by apparent validity and stability in two ways: correction and stability.

Cronbach's alpha equation ,The results showed the following Children's understanding of gratitude appears at the age of (4) years .Understanding gratitude is an evolutionary (developmental) task at ages (3, 4, 5, and 6), which is consistent with Piaget's cognitive theor the understanding of gratitude is not affected by the variable of gender .

In light of the results of the current research, the researcher presented a set of recommendations and suggestions.
