At the beginning of the last century, cinema appeared and cinemas spread throughout the world, including the Arab countries.

Most of the films shown were foreign films, so some artists and producers thought about producing Arab films with social and human implications drawn from Arab culture because they address the Arab audience, and indeed it was produced Films in Egypt, Iraq, and Syria with co-production, after which the Iraqi technical institutions made films, but this did not prevent some private sector companies from cooperating with each other to produce joint films, and here the problematic of this research appears in the extent of interest These companies in the form at the expense of the content or is there interest in the form and the content together.So the aim of this research is to answer the questions put by the researchers, namely:1- Is the attention of the producers concerned with form and content together?2- Did the harmony between form and content contribute to the unity of work and clarity of the idea? 3- To what extent did the image contribute to materializing the content and giving it intellectual and aesthetic connotations?4- Are symbols and metaphors used to convey the meaning inherent in the content? The research, which is considered descriptive research, aims to answer the research questions by analyzing a sample from the research community, namely, a movie, Laila in Iraq, which was produced in 1949, and the film, Youssef, O my mother, which was produced 2016.The research came in four chapters, the first was devoted to the methodological framework, while the second dealt with the history of joint cinematography and identifying the relationship between form and content, and in the third chapter the researchers addressed the research procedures, while the fourth chapter was devoted to the process of analysis, results and conclusions reached by the researchersThe researchers reached a number of results, the most important of which are:1- The results indicated that interest in the form was parallel to the interest in the subject in the two films2- The results showed that the harmony between form and content has contributed to the unity of work and clarity of the idea for the two researchers
