Iraqi EFL university instructors specialized in methods of teaching English perception regarding required textbook of preparation program

Abstract EN

Teachers’ perceptions of preparation program concerning the required textbook provide us with further information regarding their education, teaching efficacy, and the future of their professions.

teachers’ perception has a prominent impact on the system of education particularly in the teaching learning process.

textbooks are considered to be part of the teaching learning process which surely has a great impact on students’ classroom activities when it was attached to the teachers’ perception.

understanding teachers’ perceptions on curriculum and its development process is powerful and meaningful because it has consequences of professional development opportunities offered for teachers, administrators, as well as those who contribute in the process.

it also raises awareness of the process among all learners.

the current study aims at finding out Iraqi English as a foreign language university instructors specialized in methods of teaching English perception of the preparation program concerning the required textbook at the colleges of education.

the participants are (215) Iraqi University instructors at the colleges of education (for human sciences and for women).

an online closed questionnaire has been submitted to the participants using google forms.

the findings of the current study have revealed that the majority of instructors specialized in methods of teaching English have positively perceived the preparation program concerning required textbook.
