The importance came by directing teaching and discussions towards visual activities that can develop the skill of observation and the skills required to be learned by the learner, and when he acquires this skill, observation becomes a mechanism for him and increases his ability to intended and unintended observation.

And to identify the effect of the educational units according to the visual teaching, learning to shoot by jumping for basketball, and the cognitive speed of first-stage students And to identify the preference of differences between the experimental and control groups in the post tests, the researcher adopted the experimental method in order to suit the nature of the research problem.

Physical Education and Sports Sciences and the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / University of Diyala, for the academic year (2021-2022), The sample of the research included first-stage students in the College of Basic Education/ Department of Physical Education and Sports Science, who numbered (48) male students only.

The curriculum began on Sunday, 17/4/2022 per week and for two days (Monday and Wednesday), with a time of (90) minutes for the educational unit.

The researcher conducted an introductory unit for the members of the research sample to know how to work on the application of the educational units, as the educational units included (12) educational units divided for each skill (4) educational units, with two educational units per week, and a time of (90 minutes) for one educational unit, According to what was shown by the results of the research in the light of its objectives and hypotheses, the researcher reached the following conclusions that the use of the visual teaching method in the impact of learning to shoot by jumping for basketball And the cognitive speed of the experimental group, and the researcher recommends emphasizing the use of the visual teaching method in the educational units to learn the basic skills of games and different mental abilities, emphasizing the use of the visual teaching method in the educational units to learn the basic skills of different games.
