Abstract EN

The research aims to study the physical characteristics of the soils of the Bireh Micron slopes in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, which is located in the northeastern part of Sulaymaniyah Governorate, occupying an area of 127.27 km2.

For the purpose of achieving this goal, we have relied on judicial visuals and geological maps and obtaining climatic element data for the Sulaymaniyah and Dukan stations, and the physical characteristics include (soil texture, soil structure, soil colors, bulk density, real density, soil porosity, permeability, soil moisture) (13) soil samples were taken randomly with a depth of (0-30) cm, considering it the layer that interests us in agriculture, and then analyzed and the research found that there was a variation in the physical properties of the soil.

As for the colors, they tended to be dark yellowish brown and yellowish brown, the prevailing mass structure was sharp corners, the bulk density ranged between (1,2-1,7) g / cm3, while the actual density ranged between (2,48-2,60)g / Cm3.
