Abstract EN
This study aimed to investigate gender differences in the big five factors of personality among 74 students (46 females and 28 males) using the five factors inventory (NEO-FFI) developed by Costa and Mccrae.
the research revealed statistically significant variations between the sexes in terms of neuroticism, favoring females who scored higher in this trait.
however, the study did not detect any significant gender differences in the personality traits of agreeableness, openness, extraversion, and conscientiousness.
these findings underscored the prominence of neuroticism as the primary distinguishing factor in personality traits between male and female students within this particular sample.
