Abstract EN

This article explores an important period in the urban history of Damascus through the analysis of two waqf from al-Madrasa al-Qajmasiyya.

This monument was located, before its disappearance, to the south of the Citadel and close to today's Suq al-Hamidiyya, in the western sector of Damascus intra muros.

Th documents shed light on the founder's identity and the role played by important religious and military figures in Damascene society.

In addition to revealing the existence of several unidentified monuments inside and outside the city, the acts provide new information on the town of Zibdin in the governorate of Damascus and on the city of Sidon in Lebanon.
