Abstract EN

The present study attempted to identify the role of the Arab university in spreading the open access system.

The analytical method was used to analyze the previous studies to identify the concept of the open access, its forms, its origin, its development, and its advantages and disadvantages.

The identification of the reali- ty of open access in the Arab countries and the role of the Arab university in rein- forcing and spreading the open access system.

The results of study provide the ways to support the role of the Arab university in spreading the open access system.
