Proverbs and popular mysteries abound in Algeria, like other countries, with contents that deal with many topics.

In this context, we are interested in dealing with the issue of dress throughs amples from the Tlemcen region.

Through our field research that focused on the forms of feminist popular expressions in the western Algerian region (a research project at the CRASC Center, Oran), we came across several gasses and popular proverbs that talked about dress; Either as a form worn by a person or a symbolic content of something to be explained by relying on a specific garment.
