Abstract EN

This article presents a socio-geographical diagnostic idea of the characteristics of the food consumption pattern in the Smimo community, which belongs to the topography of the western high atlas plateau chain, and is administratively affiliated to the province of Essaouira.

through this study, we have come to know the most important agricultural and animal products that are most consumed and the emergency changes in the diet in the field of study, not to mention the system of meals with daily succession and the detection of various elements related to the kitchen field in terms of its infrastructure (utensils, refrigeration and cooking methods).

on the other hand, and then extracting several proposals, which are nutritional guidelines that concern the aspect of optimum selection of healthy meals that ensure the achievement of suspended food consumption that has a positive impact on the psychological and physical health of the consumer.

methodologically, an empirical approach was implemented based on field observation and questionnaire, where the selection was made on a specific random sample in 50 families distributed spacely at the level of the districts and the center.
