Abstract AR
Abstract EN
This study was conducted to assess some microminerals level in both pasture grasses of Butana area and some orangs of slaughtered camels in Tambol town.
Eight samples of grasses were collected.
Liver, spleen and Kindey samples were collected from twenty slaughtered camels.
All samples were laboratory analyzed using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer.
The present study showed that the microminerals levels were variable in the mixed grasses.
Iron level of mixed grasses was 770.7+_299.7mg/kg,whereas copper was 8.62+_1.2mg/kg and zinc was 19.73+_1.7mg/kg.
Iron levels of liver, spleen and kidney were 115.7+_98.5 mg/kg, 219.61+_62044 mg/kg, 28707+_4706 mg/kg respectively, while Copper was 640835+_46.80 mg/kg 4.69+_4.03 mg/kg, 14.44+_2.93 mg/kg, respectively and zinc was 19.91+_5.5 mg/kg, 26.37+_2.57 mg/kg, 22.26+_1.1 mg/kg, respectively.
The results revealed that kidneys contained higher level of iron than spleen and liver, while copper was stored in small amount in spllen compared to other organs.
All camels' samples were poor in zinc.
Almost all levels of Copper and Zinc in pasture grasses were below the estimated level of maintenance requirement for healthy camels.
