Abstract EN

The research seeks to explain the deliberative dimension in light of the manifestations of verbal acts in the sermon of Munther bin Saeed al-Baluti - delivered to the Andalusian caliph Abdul Rahman al-Nasir for the religion of God in celebration of the arrival of the apostles of the King of the Romans -; By monitoring their communicative linguistic dimensions, their relationship to the maxim, the intentionality of the speech product, their effect on strengthening and defining the connotation in the speech, and revealing the role of verbal acts in understanding the meaning the speaker wanted to convey to the recipients.

The research adopted the deliberative approach in studying this.

The research concluded that verbal acts were not pardoned in the thoughtful text, but were intended by the preacher to employ them in persuading and influencing the addressees, pointing to changing reality and the situation.
