The e-government and its role in reducing unemployment in the Arab countries during the period (2003-2020)‎

Abstract EN

This study aimed to analyze and measure the role of e-government in reducing unemployment in Arab countries (17 countries) during the period (2003-2020).

to achieve this goal, the study relied on the methodology of cross-sectional time series data (panel models) and used the r programming language.

the study found a significant negative impact of e-government development on unemployment rates in Arab countries.

specifically, a 10% increase in the e-government development index would lead to a 45% decrease in unemployment rates in Arab countries.

this indicates that the development and advancement of e-government is an effective means to mitigate unemployment in Arab countries.
