Abstract EN

This study focused on studying the discourses of authority opposition both regarding the Juma al-Karama massacre in change square, Sana'a, during the February 11, 2011 revolution, that these two political systems are involved in the matter, and it had done analysis their language, logic, and its mechanisms in this issue.

and the study also focused on massacres discourse in general, and exposure its invisibles layouts, through tracking publications in newspapers, online, news channels, and social media platforms regarding this massacre.

additionally following its details and circumstances in the judicial courts, public prosecution civil society organizations, human rights, that's available online media.

subsequently, the study presented justifications from each side separately, critiqued and debated it, by using discourse analysis procedures.

it revealed the argumentative layout in their discourse, whether explicit or implicit, highlighting the efforts of both parties to disassociate themselves from the accusations and shift criminal responsibility for the horrifying massacre onto each other.

this not only shook the pillars of existing political system, both authority & opposition, with all its components and factions also deeply affected the entire country.

the consequences and aftermath of that tragedy continue to be felt in Yemen until now.
