the problem revolves around the legal position of the consignee in the contract of maritime carriage of goods, which is what led to the emergence of many theories in order to detail this, and any agreement between the carrier and the shipper regarding resolving disputes related to the contract of maritime transport of goods has effects on the consignee, thus, the addressee can be a party before the arbitration court, whether a plaintiff to claim his rights or a defendant when he fails to fulfill the obligations imposed on him.
