The current study aimed to identify the role of recreational sports activity in preventing obesity among primary school students in the state of Tissemsilt.

the sample consisted of 40 physical education and sports teachers from various primary schools, who were chosen randomly, and a state inspector of nutrition in the directorate of national education in the state of Tissemsilt.

to achieve this, the appropriate descriptive analytical method was used for our study, and the results showed that recreational sports activity has a major role in preventing obesity among primary school students.
