Through our research paper, we try to investigate the concept of honor crime and the motives leading to its commission, in addition to investigating the most important factors affecting the spread of this criminal phenomenon.

we also discussed the most important scientific theories about crime in the sociological field, trying in the same context to highlight the most appropriate theoretical approach to honor killing, which would contribute to the deconstruction and interpretation of this type of crime.

we have reached a set of results, the most important of which is that honor crime is a criminal phenomenon linked to social values and is not directed at women only.

we also concluded that the theory of social action of the German sociologist max weber constitutes an important theoretical framework that will contribute to the understanding and thus explanation of this criminal phenomenon.
