The study aimed to uncover the nature of the relationship between internet addiction and social anxiety among university students.

the study employed a descriptive correlational approach with a sample of 90 students, randomly from Jijel university's Tassoust campus.

the study utilized two instruments: one measuring internet addiction, developed by Laazib (2016) and others, and a social anxiety questionnaire developed by the researcher.

the study yielded the following results: a weak positive correlational relationship was found between internet addiction and social anxiety among university students.

the study concluded with the following results: there is a weak positive correlation between internet addiction and social anxiety among university students.

there is a weak positive correlation between internet addiction and social performance anxiety, physical symptoms, scattered thoughts, and fear of negative evaluation among university students.
