Abstract EN

When we examine the term feminist criticism, we must not overlook its limits, which consist in re-establishing the value of women as full players and participants, alongside men, in all areas of life.

This approach rejects both the appropriation of women and male domination over them.

Feminist criticism has encountered a major problem concerning the representation of women as writers and as subjects of writing.

This stems from two main axes: the first involves the appropriation of the female personality and its framing within the male creative framework, while the second aims to liberate women from male domination in feminist discourse.

This means that feminist criticism is linked to two very fundamental and sensitive axes.

The first involves the study of the image of women in literature produced by men, while the second concerns the study of texts produced by creative women.

These two axes converge on a common point, namely the revelation of women's suffering due to injustice, oppression and marginalization in male writings on the one hand, and on the other, the development and activation of women's role as dramatic characters in current and future works.

In this research article entitled “The problematic of feminist criticism: between the diversity of terms and the complexity of concepts.

”, we will attempt to answer several questions: What is the meaning of the term “feminist criticism” and when did it appear? Who initiated it? What are the fields of feminist criticism? and who are the main critics who have worked in this field? Furthermore, we will attempt to explore the various issues associated with feminist criticism, emphasizing the diversity of the terms used and the complexity of the concepts.
