The study aimed to identify the reality of field training in the social service division at al-Nilein university and the obstacles that prevent its activation in light of the elements of field training related to the academic curriculum, the academic supervisor, the institution's supervisor, and the scientific department, by analyzing the theoretical framework and previous literature that was written on the subject of the study.

the study reached results, the most important of which are: the absence of a specific guide or program for training students in social institutions working in the areas of professional practice of social service.

the study recommended the necessity of reconsidering academic curricula to contain a clear and specific plan for field training.
