Abstract EN

This study aims to shed light on the phenomenon of child labor through the Algerian electronic newspaper al-Shorouk.

we employed the descriptive analytical approach in order to diagnose aspects related to the studied phenomenon, while relying on the content analysis technique to analyze the content of media texts.

the study concluded that the electronic media, represented by al-Shorouk online newspaper, contributes to raising awareness and sensitization of the phenomenon of child labor, and portrays the child as a conscious and responsible individual who participates in bearing the family burdens.
