This research deals with one of the most important contemporary critical trends, as it constituted a prominent phenomenon that accompanied post-modern thought, and came as a reaction to literary theories and approaches such as semiotics, deconstruction, and structuralism.

Cultural criticism is a critical activity that works to reveal implicit cultural patterns, targeting literary and non-literary discourses, and it is not a field of knowledge.

Independent and self-contained, but open to different cognitive specializations, theories, and concepts.

This study attempts to determine the theoretical references of cultural criticism and the nature of the texts it targets.
