This scientific study deals with the legislative frameworks for environmental planning and sustainable development, environmental planning has become the most important axis in the process of sustainable development and resource conservation.

The paper discusses the great development that has occurred in international and national legislation, provisions and principles related to this subject.

The paper relies on collecting information from its main sources and extracted, such as references, books, scientific papers, lectures, articles, texts of international agreements and charters and decisions issued by specialized organizations and national legislation, and then benefiting from this information to reach results of tangible scientific value.

And the purpose of the research is to identify the importance of environmental planning and its effect, and work on sustainable development and balance in the use of natural resources, and to know the effectiveness of national legislation and international efforts in preserving the rights of future generations.
