مما هو معلوم أن الإنسان مجبول على حب الولد والرغبة في الإنجاب، فعاطفة الأبوة وكذلك الأمومة ما هي إلا رغبة قوية تنادي الإنسان وتلح في النداء رغبة في إشباع تلك الغريزة وجلب ذلك الشعور، إلا إن إنجاب الذرية وتعيين نوعها هو رزق من الله تعالى قام بتقسيمه بين العباد فمنهم من كتب له أن يرزق البنين، ومنهم من رزق البنات، ومنهم من رزق كلا النوعين ومنهم من كتب له أن يكون عقيما، فأخذ البعض يبحث عن الوسائل الممكنة للحصول على جنس المولود الذي يرغب به، إذ يتطلع الكثير من الآباء إلى الذكور وآخرون إلى الإناث ويلجئون إلى الطرق المتوارثة وإلى العارفين والدجالين للتدخل في الأقدار والتحكم في جنس الجنين، ويبقى السؤال الأهم هو ما الحكم الشرعي لعملية تحديد جنس الجنين في الشريعة الإسلامية.

English Abstract

From what is known is that man is innate to love a child and desire to have children, so the emotion of fatherhood as well as motherhood is nothing but a strong desire that calls out to man and persists in the call desiring to satisfy that instinct and bring that feeling, except that the birth of offspring and the determination of their type is a provision from God Almighty that He divided it between Servants, some of them were prescribed to be provided with sons, and some of them were provided with daughters, and some of them have both types of sustenance, and some of them are written for him to be sterile, so some took looking for possible means to obtain the sex of the child he desires, as many parents look to males and others to females and resort to inherited methods and to the gnostics and charlatans to intervene in destinies and control their fate, The sex of the fetus, and the most important question remains, what is the legal ruling on the process of determining the sex of the fetus in Islamic law.
