Abstract EN

Through legislative development in Morocco, individuals and civil society, following the 2011 Constitution, were empowered with important roles and participatory mechanisms that make citizens and civil society organizations a fundamental pillar in shaping public policies and decision-making.

On the other hand, Moroccan international partnerships have played a crucial role in funding and guiding civil society and citizens in citizen participation programs.

Therefore, this article addresses the most important mechanisms for involving individuals and civil organizations in decision-making, in addition to assessing the framework and funding of citizen participation programs and their role in empowering and developing the capacities of civil society.
