Abstract EN

This article addresses the circumstances surrounding the emergence of the Amazigh movement in Morocco, and the impact of international and national contexts on shaping the discourse of this movement.

The significance of this study lies in tracking how the state interacts with the demands of the Amazigh movement, transitioning from marginalization of the Amazigh language to its recognition at multiple levels.

This culminated in the constitutional recognition of the Amazigh language as an official language in the year 2011.
