The distinction between Prophet Mohammed’s Companions and the others is one of the significant matters the scholars of the science of traditions should be concerned with.

Since this fact would yield many benefits, and because there is a difference between the Apostle’s Companion and non Companions, the researcher has endeavored in this work to examine some of the reasons surrounding the certainty of the Companionship.

The worker has given examples for each reason and has distinguished between the sayings of the traditionalists of doubtful or unproved companionship and those of acknowledged and well established companionship.

Reasons have also been provided.

The researcher has introduced to this study by reviewing some of the studies directly related to the companions.

This study has been concluded by some of the findings and a number of recommendations.
