Abstract EN

The structural properties and magnetization of Fe88 Zr6 B6 melt-spun amorphous alloy were studied.

upon annealing.

by differential scanning calorimetry.

scanning electron microscopy and vibrating sample magnetometry.

The crystallization process can be regarded to consist mainly of two steps.

The first step involves the precipitation of a single α-Fe Nan crystalline phase.

embedded in a residual amorphous phase.

The second step involves the precipitation of intermetallic phases.

Further precipitation of α-Fe Nan grains occurs during the second step.

A magnetic hardening was observed at the start of the crystallization process.
