The researcher tries to give a clear idea concerning the private Universities and their standards of general and special accreditations.

He explains in detail the standards of accreditation of their libraries in both forms.

He goes on discussing the degree of implemention of those standards relevant to the buildings, facilities, collections, staff and computerization.

He makes a comparison with the international standards applied in academic libraries in developed countries.
