Abstract EN

A study was undertaken to establish data on diseases occurring in mammals in Khartoum Zoological garden.

Each sick animal was examined, its condition diagnosed, and treatment conducted.

Post mortem examination of dead animals was performed.

A total of 71 clinical cases out of 1511 mammals were examined.

The disease conditions included; injuries and fractures, pneumonia, acidosis, abortion, septicemia, hepatitis, enteritis, emaciation, alopecia, tick infestation, eczema and toxicity.

Note is also made of several other clinical conditions which were encountered in various animals in the Zoo.
