This paper deals with the performance analysis and implementation of a robust speed controller.

The robustness is guaranteed by the use of the internal model controller (IMC).

Verification of the proposed robust controller is provided by experimental realistic tests on scalar controlled induction motor drives.

Robust speed control at low speeds and in field weakening region is studied in order to show the robustness of the speed controller with a wide range of load
