Abstract EN
Substance misuse and addictive behaviour are universal problems affecting not only the individual but also the family or other significant others.
there is an urgent need to promote competence among professionals involved in the prevention, health promotion and management of substance misusers.
in response to the world health organization and governmental resolutions and recommendations in education and training programmes initiatives, a model of an educational strategy in matching service provision needs has been developed.
this paper discusses the development and application of a problem-oriented model of multiprofessional education and training programme in substance misuse and addictive behaviour in the united kingdom.
