there has however, been a drive for lithium- ated patients to be managed in hospital-based psychiatric clinics and rarely in ifimary care as part of the move from specialism to generalism in health care.

the ivantages of the lithium clinic in ensuring better care, compliance, monitoring, and iipport need to be safeguarded in general psychiatric and primary care clinics by adherence to clinical practice guidelines
