Abstract EN

Breast cancer continues to be one of the leading causes of mortality among women.

Digital mammography is used by radiologist for analysis and interpretation of cancer.

Visual reading and interpretation of mammograms is a very demanding and expensive job.

Early detection of breast cancer is essential in breast cancer control.

Computer Aided Diagnosis (CAD) systems have been developed to complement radiologists in interpreting mammograms.

In this paper we present a novel approach to lesion interpretation in digital mammograms.

The proposed method is based on cognitive multi agent system to mode the decision making.

The use of ontology can be beneficial to bring the communication between various agents and to facilite the making decision process.
