Abstract EN
New hydroxamic acid namely, N-p-Chlorophenyl -N-phenylacetohydroxamic acid was synthesized, chai'acterized, and its physico-chemical properties have been determined.
The acid was characterized by determination of its melting point, nitrogen content, chlorine content, characteristic irfra-red functional groups absorption and determination of its molecular weight as well as reaction of its chloroform solution towards solution of vanadium (V) and iron (HI).
The acid was used as analytical reagent for extraction of Cr (VI) and U (VI) ions, which was found to be 98.61 % and 70.20% respectively.
