تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على الأخطاء الكتابية الشائعة لدى الطلبة الكويتيين الذين يدرسون اللغة الإنجليزية كلغة أجنبية.
و من أجل تحقيق هذا الهدف تم تصميم (استبيان) للتعرف على آراء مدرسي اللغة الإنجليزية كلغة أجنبية حول الأخطاء الشائعة و نقاط الضعف و القوة في مهارة الكتابة لدى الطلبة الكويتيين الذين يدرسون اللغة الإنجليزية كلغة أجنبية.
كما تم تحليل عينة عشوائية من كتابات الطلبة و تصنيف أخطائهم الكتابية و مدى تكرارها و تسجيل النتائج.
و قد عرضت الدراسة بعض المقترحات لتحسين مهارة الكتابة لدى الطلبة و تشجيعهم على دراستها بشكل إيجابي.
كما اقترحت الدراسة إجراء مزيد من الدراسات في هذا المجال، مثل إجراء دراسة مقارنة بين البرامج الكويتية و برامج الدول الأخرى لتعليم الإنجليزية كلغة أجنبية.
Abstract EN
This study is an attempt to identify the common writing elrors executed by Kuwaiti Native Arabic speakers in learning English as a foreign language (EFL).
To achieve this aim, a questionnaire has been designed to recognize beliefs (of teachers of English as a foreign language) regarding writing errors done by Kuwaiti Native Arabic Speakers learning EFL.
A random sample of Kuwaiti Native Arabic Speakers learning EFL writing has been analyzed.
Some suggestions are presented to improve the status of the writing skill of English learnt by our Arab students to encourage positive attitudes towards its study.
A number of further studies and testable hypotheses can be generated from this study such as a comparison of Kuwait's EFL programs to those of other states
