Abstract EN

This Qur'anic study examines the practice of Sujud (prostration), including where it is performed and the various types of Sujud such as voluntary and obligatory Sujud and other variations.

It explains the psychological effects behind Sujud, which help to relieve feelings of loneliness, inferiority, guilt and depression, while at the same time causing the individual to discard feelings of arrogance and encouraging instead the desire to accomplish higher goals and tolerate agony and hardship.
