Abstract EN

This report deals with rcisults of the geolocical and laboratory inrestigation work on the limestone deposite usable as decorative, stone in wadi Bu Argud jardas Al Ahrar.

this study has pointed out the Possible usability of this limestone mainly for the production of terrazza aggregates and partially for the production of small size and very small block stone suitable for cutting and polishing.

The size of the deposite is considered small reaching ab¬out one million cubic meter.

However this deposite is important as it represents a base For the establishment of decorative stone industry in Al Jabal Al Akhdar region, other dark coloured terrazza aggregates may be essential to enrich the coloristic value.

This deposite can be sufficicut to obtain light Cream coloured terragga aggregates for about (50) years if taken into consideration terragga plates plaut with 9(K),(KK) m"/ year is planned.

The obtained stone block can provide cut slabs for about 14 years with capacity of about 768(X)nr annually.

More investigation work is necessary to prove and to increese the reserves of bloking strata.
