This study aims at presenting the influence of semantic change in assigning meaning.

The researcher has utilized the prophet's sayings as examples of analysis.

It seems clear from this study that there is ambiguity in understanding old words (utterances) in view of the contemporary meaning.

This study comprises four demands: first, mentioning the reason behind conducting this study; second, introduction and foundation; third, applicable prophet's sayings in order to clarify such ambiguity in reception due to the variation in dictionary interpretation of old utterances; and fourth, a conclusion in which recommendations are presented.
