Overview of cyclicvoltammetric study and conductivity of some fluorinated b-diketones contaning thienyl unite

The cyclic voltammetric investigations of Ω-conjugated thienyl fluorinated β-diketones ligands, which can be regarded as new type of widely used coordinative ligand, have been reported.

The studies have been carried out on a solution of respective ligand in acetonitrile.

Trends of electrode potentials are observed in which the experimental part agrees with calculated one that published elsewhere [7].

The cyclic voltammetry curves present one irreversible oxidation wave.

This wave is due to the oxidation potential of thienyl unit and observed around 1.88 V.

In addition, the curves have two-redox potential which is related to the fluorinated-β-diketone moieties.

The formation of solid film of expected oligomers or dimmer on the working electrode is discussed.

Conductivity and electronic spectra have been reported.
