تتناول هذه الورقة الحدان الأساسيان للمحسسات الضوئية (RCE) التي تتحكم في نظم الاتصالات فائقة السرعة.
يتمثل هذان الحدان في كفاءة الكم و سعة التذبذب للمحسنات المستعملة، لقد تم إيجاد شكل تحليلي لكفاءة الكم تتضمن الحدود الهيكلية لتصميم المحسس الضوئي.
و اعتمادا على النتائج التمثيلية بواسطة الحاسوب، طورت خطة للتصميم المثالي لهذه المحسسات.
Abstract EN
Two key parameters for RCE photo detectors that govern their suitability for ultrafast optical communication systems are considered.
These are the quantum efficiency and the bandwidth efficiency product.
A closed analytical form has been derived for quantum efficiency, which incorporates the structural parameters of the photo detector.
Based on the simulation results, an optimization and design procedure for these photo detectors has been developed.
