يصف هذا التقرير دراسة ورم خلايا الظهارة العضلية في الغدة النكافية و هو نوع نادر من الأورام..
و الورم لمريض يبلغ من العمر 30 عاما حيث تم علاجه باستئصال جزء من الغدة النكافية..
و تم متابعة علاجه لمدة 7 سنوات و لم تظهر عليه أعراض انتكاسة أو رجوع لهذا الورم.
يبلغ حجم الورم 1.5 سم و هو محدد و له غلاف محفظي (كبسولة) و أنه متكون من خلايا الظهارة العضلية فقط.
تناقش هذه الورقة الحالة الأكلينكية و الفحوصات المخبرية للتشخيص و كيفية علاج هذا النوع من الأورام.
Abstract EN
Myoepithelioma is a rare neoplasm of the salivary gland.
We report a case of myoepithelioma of the parotid gland in a 30 year old male.
The patient was treated by partial parotidectomy and showed no evidence of recurrence after seven years follow up.
The tumor was well defined, encapsulated and measured 1.5 cm in diameter.
It was exclusively composed of myoepithelial cells with no evidence of epithelial component.
The clinical presentation, pathology and management of myoepithelioma are discussed.
