Abstract AR
Abstract EN
The present study was conducted to investigate the major metabolic features during growth and differentiation of Remix vestiaries.
Photosynthetic pigments (chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, total chlorophyll, carotenoids), proteins carbohydrates and lipids were estimated in different plant organs at different stages of development and in three seasons autumn, winter and spring.
Each of these parameters showed generally a significant increase with age from juvenile throughout to flowering stage and then decreased in level in the fruiting stage.
Proteins and lipids showed highest levels in leaves as compared to roots and stems, while carbohydrates showed highest levels in roots as compared to leaves and stems.
Seeds and fruits showed higher proteins, carbohydrates and lipid levels as compared to seedlings and flowers respectively.
Seasonal variations were observed in the level of photosynthetic pigments and metabolic parameters.
Photosynthetic pigments showed lowest levels in winter, lipids showed highest levels in autumn, while carbohydrates and proteins varied in level from season to season and no clear pattern was observed.
