بصورة عامة تمتلك المريضات بأورام الثدي مستويات إجهاد تأكسدي أعلى من مجاميع السيطرة (إناث صحيات).
و ظهر هذا جليا من الانخفاض غير المعنوي (P < 0.05) في فعالية إنزيم الكلوتاتيون ردكتيز في كريات الدم الحمراء، و الانخفاض المعنوي (P < 0.05) في فعالية الإنزيم في المصل.
خلصت الدراسة بان الجذور الحرة في أورام الثدي الخبيثة تكون ذات مستوى أعلى مما في الأورام الحميدة، لهذا فمن الممكن استخدام مستوى فعالية إنزيم GSSG-Red كدالة لمتابعة تقدم المرض من خلال الدراسات السابقة و الدراسة الحالية.
Abstract EN
Breast tumor patients generally have more oxidative stress than normal females.
This was clear from non significant (P > 0.05) decrease in RBCs GSSG-Red but there was significant decrease (P < 0.05) in serum GSSG-Red activity.
The study had found that free radicals in malignant breast tumors were higher than benign tumors, therefore the activity of GSSG-Red might be used as markers for prognosis of the disease through previouse studies and present study.
